Central Dispatch is Cox Automotive's marketplace where brokers post loads for carriers, with shipper plans starting at $139.95 a month for Core and $214.95 a month for Premium. Super Dispatch is transportation management software for shippers and brokers with its own Super Loadboard, starting at $159 a month for its Shipper Pro plan.

Both let you post a car, get a carrier on it, follow the load and get the eBOL. They differ in how they charge, how they pay carriers and what comes with the base plan. Prices and features below come from each company's own pages, checked October 28, 2026.

What is Central Dispatch?

Central Dispatch started in 1999 and has been part of Cox Automotive since 2015 (About Us). Brokers, dealers and other shippers post loads, and carriers search them by vehicle type, trailer type, number of vehicles and minimum payment. What is Central Dispatch walks through a load from posted to dispatched.

What is Super Dispatch?

Super Dispatch sells Shipper TMS to shippers, brokers, dealers, auctions and fleet leasing companies (Shipper TMS page). It includes the Super Loadboard, where your loads reach carriers in the Verified Carrier Network, which Super Dispatch monitors for active authority and cargo insurance. Drivers use the free Super Dispatch Driver App, which gives you live GPS tracking and eBOLs (brokers page).

Posting loads on Central Dispatch vs the Super Loadboard

On Central Dispatch, the Create Load page takes your delivery details once, then you post the load to the board or assign it straight to a carrier. Preferred carriers show at the top of the list and blocked carriers stay hidden. Premium adds Preferred Carrier Offers for dispatching directly to carriers you already use.

On Super Dispatch, you create or import orders and post them to the Super Loadboard. Shipper Pro includes instant booking, where preferred carriers can book a load as soon as it is created, and automated price negotiation, where Super Dispatch negotiates the carrier rate for you. You can hide vehicle details until a carrier makes an offer. A Private Loadboard add-on lets your preferred carriers book a load before it reaches the Super Loadboard.

Dispatch, tracking and eBOL

Central Dispatch dispatches are electronic. Carriers inspect vehicles in the free Central Dispatch carrier app with photos, damage marks and signatures, and send eBOL data from it. Real-Time Tracking starts when the carrier does the pickup inspection in that app, and you get an email link to follow the car (Real-Time Tracking page).

Super Dispatch includes GPS load tracking with ETA and order status notifications, and gives you the eBOL, proof of delivery, inspection photos and invoices on delivery. Its billing management creates and sends invoices to both customers and carriers.

How do Central Dispatch and Super Dispatch handle carrier payments?

Super Dispatch's SuperPay pays carriers inside the platform, so you never collect their bank details (SuperPay page). Payments can run automatically after Digital Delivery Verification or be sent by hand, on terms from 3 to 20 business days after delivery. The pricing page says a fee applies per transaction and does not give the amount.

The Central Dispatch plans and feature pages we checked list no carrier payment product. If you post only on Central Dispatch, plan to keep paying carriers the way your desk does now.

Carrier checks on each platform

Central Dispatch shows each carrier's USDOT number, MC number and authority status on its public profile and requires ID verification for all users (features page). Super Dispatch monitors carriers in its Verified Carrier Network for active authority and cargo insurance, and sells SuperProtect, an add-on that shows risk signals on carriers in your dispatch screens and keeps monitoring after dispatch.

Central Dispatch API vs Super Dispatch API

Central Dispatch's Listings API creates, updates and deletes listings on every plan, and Premium adds APIs for dispatches, offers and events (API page). Super Dispatch's Shipper API creates and updates orders, assigns carriers, tracks shipments and pulls bills of lading and proof of delivery (developer portal). Our Central Dispatch API guide lists each API and its limits.

When do brokers use both Central Dispatch and Super Dispatch?

Each board has its own carriers searching it. You might keep both when a lane needs more trucks than one board brings, or when the carriers you use most work on one platform and new carriers come from the other.

Two boards mean two places to post, two places to pull a load once a carrier takes it, and two sets of statuses to check. A load left up on the second board after dispatch keeps the phone ringing with carriers asking about it. Keep one order record in your CRM, and mark on it where the load is posted and who took it.

How to decide between them

Price one real month on both. Take the number of vehicles your desk delivered last month, ask Central Dispatch sales for Core and Premium at that volume, and ask Super Dispatch which Shipper Pro tier that puts you in. Add the seats and add-ons you would turn on, then compare the two totals next to the features in the table.
