RingCentral and Leader CRM for car-shipping sales desks
Leader CRM connects to your brokerage's RingCentral account, so each salesperson calls or texts a customer with one button and every call and text lands on that customer's quote. Missed calls come in from RingCentral every 5 minutes.
If your desk calls and texts through RingCentral, a salesperson's day can split across two screens, the phone app for calls and texts and the CRM for the quote. Leader CRM puts both on the quote page. The call button dials through your RingCentral line, a text goes out from the salesperson's number, and the conversation is saved on the customer.
What the RingCentral connection does in Leader CRM
| Job | How it works with RingCentral connected |
|---|---|
| Call a customer | One button on the quote places the call from the browser through your RingCentral line. |
| Text a customer | One button sends the text from the salesperson's line. Replies come back into the quote timeline. |
| Work a call list | The auto dialer queues the people to call and shows each one's last message. START or AUTO CALL works down the list, with recorded voicemail drops. |
| Catch missed calls | Missed calls come in from RingCentral every 5 minutes, with who got a callback or a text and who still waits. |
| Follow up | The 7-day follow-up plan sends its texts from the salesperson's line in the morning and the evening. |
Calls and texts saved on the customer
A salesperson who calls from a desk phone and texts from a mobile app leaves no record in the CRM unless they type one. When the call and the text start from the quote page, the history writes itself: the next person who opens that customer sees what was said and when. That matters on a shared desk, where a lead can move to another salesperson or the owner picks up a customer who is unhappy.
Missed calls nobody returned
A customer who calls and gets no answer can book with the next broker they call. The missed calls page lists every caller nobody has called back, texted or answered since they called, newest first, and the owner sees the share called back, the time to answer and the after-hours calls for the last 7 days. Open a number to find that customer in the CRM.
Texting rules still apply
A business texting line needs its 10DLC registration done in RingCentral, and customers who reply STOP must stop getting texts. Leader CRM never texts a number that sent STOP, sends email only to numbers that will not take texts, and emails a daily report of any text that went to a number that had texted STOP. Read the texting rules for car shipping brokers before you turn on automated follow-up.

Questions brokers ask
Does Leader CRM work with RingCentral?
Yes. You connect your brokerage's RingCentral account. Leader CRM then places calls from the browser, sends texts and reads call history through it.
Do I have to switch to RingCentral?
No. Leader CRM also connects to another calling and texting app your brokerage already uses. Ask on the demo call which apps are set up today.
Where do texts from the CRM come from?
From the salesperson's own business line in your phone app, so the customer replies to the same number they already know.
How are missed calls tracked?
Leader CRM brings in missed calls from RingCentral every 5 minutes. The missed calls page shows who was called back or texted, who is still waiting, how fast the team answered and which calls came after hours.
