CarShipIO alternative for a broker sales desk, compared on facts
CarShipIO is one platform for car haulers and auto transport brokers, and its broker plans start at $150 a month with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If your brokerage sells mostly by phone and text, compare its broker side with Leader CRM below.

Leader CRM wrote this page, and Leader CRM is one of the products compared here. We read every CarShipIO fact below on carshipio.com on October 28, 2026, and link each one.
What is CarShipIO?
CarShipIO calls itself an "Auto Transport Software Platform for Car Hauler and Broker Businesses" on its home page, and it serves shippers too. The carrier side and the broker side share one system.
- For carriers: a TMS, a driver app on iOS and Android for eBOL and EPOD, digital picture inspections with e-signature, and load imports from more than 30 sources (carshipio.com).
- For brokers: Central Dispatch job post and update, automated acknowledgment and quote emails with templates, QuickBooks integration, credit card processing, its own marketplace and a private carrier network (broker features page).
The broker features page pitches its carrier network with the line "Move Cars Faster and Easier with Private Carrier Network."
How much does CarShipIO cost for brokers?
The broker signup page says plans start at $150 a month. CarShipIO publishes no broker plan table, so the page does not say how many users $150 covers or what a larger plan costs.
| Item | CarShipIO, broker side |
|---|---|
| Starting price | $150 a month |
| Plan table | Not published for brokers |

Carrier plans sit on a separate plans page, up to $159 a month for a mid-size fleet, with a 15-day free trial and no credit card. Those prices are for carriers. A brokerage that also runs its own trucks would price both.
Before you sign, ask CarShipIO how many users the $150 plan includes, what each added user costs, and which broker features sit in higher plans.

Where is CarShipIO strong?
CarShipIO covers both sides of the load in one system. A brokerage that also runs its own trucks, or that wants a private network of carriers it already works with, gets a carrier TMS, a driver app with eBOL and photo inspections, and a broker CRM from one vendor. Leader CRM has no carrier TMS or driver app on its feature list.
Who should look at a CarShipIO alternative?
Look at the sales tools if your salespeople spend the day quoting by text, following up and calling down a list. CarShipIO's broker pages describe quote emails and Central Dispatch posting, and the pages we checked do not mention calling or texting. Leader CRM is built around that sales day:
- A quote page with the vehicle, the route on a map, the CD price and every text and email in one timeline.
- Automated follow-up for 7 days, a morning and an evening touch by text and email, that waits when the customer writes.
- An auto dialer with each customer's last message beside the number, and a missed-calls board.
- Lead distribution by lead multiple, daily limit and hours for each salesperson.
- An owner dashboard that compares today with yesterday on leads, quotes, orders, calls, texts and emails.
How do you switch from CarShipIO to Leader CRM?
- Ask how your broker data comes out. The CarShipIO pages we checked do not describe a broker export. Ask for your leads, quotes, orders and carriers in a file before you cancel.
- Check the guarantee. Brokers can cancel any time. If you signed up in the last 30 days, ask CarShipIO how its 30-day money-back guarantee applies to you.
- Decide on the carrier side. If your trucks run on CarShipIO, ask whether you can keep a carrier plan and drop the broker plan.
- Pick a cutover day for Central Dispatch. From that day, post new orders from one system only, so no load goes up twice. In Leader CRM, posted loads sit in the Posted CD tab.
- Connect phones, Gmail and lead vendors. Connect RingCentral or another calling and texting app, have each salesperson connect their Gmail, and point your lead vendors at Leader CRM so their leads arrive through the API.
The guide to switching auto transport CRMs goes through the move in more detail. The BATS and Message Plane comparisons cover two more broker CRMs, and the best auto transport CRM list covers the rest.
What should you ask before you choose?
Write down how many salespeople will use the CRM and how many calls and texts they send in a day. Ask CarShipIO what its broker plan costs for that desk and how calls and texts work in it, then ask Leader CRM the same.
